Valley of the Rogue

Valley of the Rogue, 2015

In celebration of the return of wolves to western Oregon Nolan Calisch and I orchestrated a projection at a public rest area off I-5 in the Rogue River Valley.  The projection featured footage of Oregon wolves including wolf OR-7, famous for his intrepid solo journey across the state to California and back. This winter OR-7 was successful in finding a mate, and they have recently established a pack.  The pack has been dubbed “The Rogue Pack,” after the region these wolves have made their territory.

Among other threats to wolves, highway infrastructure without wildlife corridors fragments habitat and disrupts migratory patterns.
